Azerbaijan’s electric power output up in 2011
Azerbaijani state-owned energy producer Azerenergy generated 20 billion KWt/hr of electric power in 2011, up from 18.4 billion KWt/hr produced in 2010, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
More than 17.3 billion KWt/hr of the electricity produced last year was generated by thermal power stations, while the remaining 2.7 billion KWt/hr – by hydro-power plants.
In 2010, electric power output decreased 2.5 percent in comparison with 2009.
