Hungarian exports dominate trade with Azerbaijan – official
Annual trade turnover between Hungary and Azerbaijan is around $80 million, with Hungarian exports to the South Caucasus republic accounting for 99 percent of the volume, Hungarian Deputy Minister of Economics Roza Nagy has said on a visit to Baku.
Nagy, who co-chairs the inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation, told the press Friday that Hungary was interested in mutual investments and had made this proposal during the commission meeting held in the Azerbaijani capital earlier in the day. The meeting took place as part of Hungarian President Pal Schmitt’s official visit to Azerbaijan.
In conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed a protocol on expanding cooperation in the fields including industries, agriculture, construction, transport, ICT, science and education, tourism, culture, environmental protection, finance and banking, and healthcare.
