Over 2m tourists expected this year – official
2.1 million tourists are expected to visit Azerbaijan this year, according to the tourism minister.
Abulfas Garayev told a nationwide tourism conference in Baku Tuesday that the number of tourists coming to the country has reached 1.6 million this year, 14 percent over the first eight months of 2010.
Garayev added that the government has set out a goal to bring the number of tourists to 3 million over the next five years.
