Kyrgyzstan easing tax rules with Azerbaijan
BISHKEK – Kyrgyzstan’s parliamentary committee on foreign affairs on Monday endorsed the agreement on lifting double taxation signed with the Azerbaijani government, Kyrgyz news agency AKI Press reported.
Tahir Turdiyev, an official of Kyrgyzstan’s economics ministry, said the agreement envisions applying concessional tax rates. Thus, taxes will be lowered to 10 percent for Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz businessmen working in the two countries.
To date, Azerbaijan has signed agreements on removing double taxation with 40 countries, 36 of which have taken effect. The remaining four documents have been approved by the Azerbaijani side and will go into force after passing relevant procedures of the other signatories. Moreover, such deals have been agreed on the level of experts with nine countries.
