Azercell expanding roaming network
Azerbaijan's leading cellular provider Azercell continues
increasing the number of its roaming partners.
This time Azercell Telecom has put into operation international MMS roaming service with O2 Telefonica mobile company of Slovakia, the company said.
Azercell had launched a first international MMS roaming service in Azerbaijan in April 2007 with the aim of making Azercell customers feel at home. At present Azercell provides MMS roaming services through 22 mobile communication operators in 20 countries.
The operator has concluded GPRS/MMS contracts with 121 operators from 59 countries so far.
The possibilities of the MMS service differ from GPRS/MMS service. The international MMS roaming service allows Azercell subscribers to exchange MMS not only within the network but also with subscribers of the operator with which the contract has been signed.
