First dry fruit factory in CIS opens in Azerbaijan
BAKU – The first-ever dry fruit factory in CIS opened in western Azerbaijan on Wednesday in a ceremony attended by President Ilham Aliyev.
The enterprise, which was launched in the Samukh region, has the capacity to dry 12 tons of fruits, vegetables and greens. 150 people will be provided with permanent jobs and 60 others with seasonal ones.
Cold storage warehouses with capacity of 25,000 tons have been supplied with advanced equipment.
