Baku hosts int’l agriculture exhibition
BAKU – The 3rd International Agriculture, Food Processing and Packaging Exhibition "Caspian Agro - 2010" started in Baku Wednesday at the Heydar Aliyev Sport-Concert Complex.
Azerbaijan’s Agriculture Minister Ismat Abasov, as well as officials from Belarus, Georgia, Cuba, Spain and Qatar attended the opening ceremony.
Speaking to the ceremony, Abasov underlined Azerbaijan’s all-round economic development within last few years.
He said the aim of the exhibition is to display agricultural goods produced in Azerbaijan, and to invite foreign companies to cooperate.
The exhibition, which is organized by the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry and Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, brings together more than 80 companies from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Spain and Iran.
The exhibition will end on Friday.
