Baku bay bridge to be built soon
BAKU – Azerbaijan Ministry of Transport is planning to launch a number of the new mega projects soon.
The Ministry of Transport said the project would include 26.6-km long bridge over the Baku bay, 105-km long Guba-Shamakhi highway, 405-km long Hajigabul-Georgia border highway, as well as the Baku-Sumgayit railway.
According to the ministry, the Baku bay bridge will help to ease the traffic in the central part of the city, while the Guba-Shamakhi highway will make quite shorter a distance from the central Azeri regions to the Russian border.
The projects will be funded by the government of Azerbaijan and other sources, the reports say.
