BAKU - Azerbaijan’s Bank Standard has introduced a unique service for the holders of gold and platinum Emergency Cash cards. The new service advantageously differs from similar ones offered abroad by its advanced features, the bank's report says.

"Emergency Cash" is the first service of its kind used in Azerbaijan. Thanks to this service, which is envisaged for the plastic Class Gold and Platinum card holders, customers facing loss or theft of their cards will receive immediate assistance from Bank Standard. The client, who has lost his or her card on a trip abroad, may call the bank to get an urgent money transfer through the Western Union system in the amount of the balance on the card.

The service is available through a telephone call to the bank’s Information Center (+994 12) 158. After the client answers the questions of the operator, the bank will make a money transfer and provide the client with a code allowing him or her to receive the transferred funds in the nearest Western Union customer service office.
