Azercell joins People’s Computer project
BAKU - Azerbaijan’s leading cellular operator Azercell has joined
the People’s Computer project, offering advantages to computer
buyers, including a cell number on concessional terms and advanced
Internet access.
Under the campaign, an Azercell user purchasing a laptop, a netbook or a desktop computer may choose from a variety of benefits - pre-paid subscription, Data Kart or the opportunity to use 500 MB of GPRS data traffic per each subscription period (for a total of 12 pre-paid subscription periods). All it takes is to pay 7 manats ($8.75) per month over one year.
The People’s Computer project facilitates access of people from various groups of the population to up-to-date computers and licensed software.
The project was launched in April 2009. During its second stage, students and faculty members at local schools and universities buy PCs for prices 25-40 percent below market levels, under 12-month interest-free loans.
