Iron ore tycoon plans to invest in Azerbaijan
Russian tycoon Alisher Usmanov, who owns Metalloinvest, one of
Russia’s leading steel and mining holding companies, intends to
make investments in Azerbaijan, the businessman announced during a
visit to Baku on Thursday.
The ethnic Uzbek entrepreneur told reporters that the Azerbaijani capital is a very lucrative location for doing business.
"I do not rule out working here and placing funds in any given sector of Azerbaijan in the future. I am seriously considering that," Usmanov said.
Usmanov is a personality known well around the world. He co-owns Russia’s Kommersant publishing house, Muz-TV and Britain’s Arsenal soccer club.*
