11-year-old wins Volkswagen car in IBA draw
The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA), the
country’s leading bank, this week awarded the main prize of the
first round of the stimulus campaign for the bank’s deposit holders
that kicked off in September 2009.
The IBA offered Nissan and Volkswagen cars as the top prizes. A total of three vehicles will be awarded - one each to the winners of the first and second rounds of the campaign and another car as a consolatory prize, which will be played among all depositors who were unsuccessful in both rounds.
It is remarkable that Famil Mammadli, 11, whose parents had opened a deposit for him at the IBA’s Binagadi district subsidiary in Baku, has become the lucky winner of Volkswagen Golf Plus, the main prize of the first round.
"His family has for the first time won such a lottery, and the IBA team is delighted that a young depositor has become the winner of such a valuable gift," the IBA said, congratulating Famil on his success.
The bank has also announced other winners of the first round of its lottery being held among clients who have opened deposits in the amount of at least 1,000 manats ($1,250) for a period of at least one year. Elshan Teymurov, who opened a deposit at the IBA Nizami district subsidiary, has won an Asus X59Sr laptop computer, while Idris Aliyev, who holds a deposit at the Sumgayit subsidiary, was awarded a Sony DCR DVD 850E camera.*
