Azerbaijan eyes Belarusian investment
Belarusian investors may take part in Azerbaijan’s infrastructure projects, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev told the Belarus First TV Channel in an interview, BELTA news agency reported.
Among the priority projects, the Azerbaijani leader named the informatization and communication areas. President Aliyev said Belarus and Azerbaijan are vigorously developing their cooperation in all areas, including politics, economics and investments, voicing confidence that bilateral relations will continue to expand.
According to the president, the future economic relations of the two countries will be bright.
"Azerbaijan is interested in investments from Belarus. In turn, Belarus may count on Azerbaijani investments," Aliyev said.
As an example of successful cooperation, Aliyev noted the Belarus tractors' assembly at the Ganja plant. At present, the sides are considering joint manufacturing of spare parts for Belarusian tractors. Azerbaijan also takes interest in purchasing Belarusian trucks and agricultural machinery.*
