Top Azeri banker gets Queen Victoria award
A successful Azerbaijani
banker heading the country’s leading financial institution has been
conferred with a high international award.
The Queen Victoria Commemorative Medal, granted to Jahangir Hajiyev, chairman of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) steering board, is conferred to successful businesspeople who have contributed to maintaining high values in doing business, according to the Foreign Ministry.
The award was presented in a ceremony organized by the Europe Business Assembly as part of the Oxford Summit of Leaders in the British town on Monday. It marks Hajiyev’s successful implementation of economic and social programs, his worthy representation of Azerbaijan on the world stage and charity initiatives.*
