Another online service for business to be launched in Azerbaijan [UPDATE]

There are plans to create a website in Azerbaijan to provide online service for introducing changes to the documents of legal entities, said Alakbar Mammadov, Director General of the Department of State Registration and Control over Record-keeping of the Ministry of Taxes, Trend reports. He provided details at a press conference dedicated to the procedure for state registration of legal entities in Baku.

“We started working on this. The necessary steps have already been taken. The website will be launched in the nearest future,” he said.

Consistent work is underway in Azerbaijan to simplify doing business in the country. In particular, since the beginning of this year, the state registration of legal entities has been simplified. Thus, registration of legal entities, registration over record-keeping in tax authorities and opening of a bank account are now carried out as part of one procedure, which takes now about 20 minutes to complete. The registration procedure is possible without using an e-signature, as it suffices to use the personal identification number (PIN) code.

By the virtue of ongoing reforms, Azerbaijan ranks the ninth among 190 countries in terms of the “Starting a Business” indicator in the Doing Business 2019.
