Pensions for more than 12,000 families of martyrs to be increased in Azerbaijan

The amount of the presidential pension paid to the family of martyrs will increase from February 1, 2019, Advisor to Azerbaijani Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Mustafa Abbasbayli told Trend on Jan. 31.
“The amount of the pension will be increased by 58 manats and reach 300 manats,” he said.
“Over the past period, the families of martyrs and war veterans were provided with 6,654 apartments, including 626 apartments in 2018, which is three times more than the envisaged amount,” Abbasbayli added.
"These citizens will be provided with at least 800 apartments in 2019,” he said. “According to the presidential decree as of January 30, the amount of pensions will be raised for more than thousands of families of martyrs."
“In general, the amount of pensions envisaged for families of martyrs has tripled since 2007,” Abbasbayli said.
