S Korean agency to broker co-op with Azeri companies
The Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) is interested in forging and developing cooperation with Azerbaijani companies. The organization is offering a number of programs and services for the purpose, KOTRA`s representation in Baku told AssA-Irada.
The agency intends to seek business partners for Azerbaijani entrepreneurs, arrange talks with Korean companies and provide comprehensive assistance to Azerbaijani businesspeople looking to visit South Korea and participate in various exhibitions and trade missions in the country.
In addition, KOTRA will research the Azerbaijani market and explore prospects for marketing Korean goods in Azerbaijan. To pursue these goals, online business meetings will be held at the agency`s virtual business center.
Azerbaijan`s Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed an agreement with KOTRA on supporting business cooperation and entrepreneurship in 1997. However, substantial collaboration between the two organizations started in 2006.
KOTRA is a government-funded organization headquartered in Seoul, established in 1962 to promote trade and investment between Korea and the rest of the world. To accomplish this mission, KOTRA utilizes its network of over 90 Korea Business Centers around the globe to execute market research, create new opportunities through business match-making and provide one-stop investment consulting services to potential investors.
