Azercell kicks off unique SMS lottery
Azerbaijan`s leading cellular operator, Azercell,
has embarked on a one-of-the-kind campaign.
Starting from March 1, Azercell Telecom LLC`s lottery campaign called SMS Shans (SMS Chance) will bring various money bonuses to any subscriber sending a short message and enable customers to obtain tickets to the concerts of famous Turkish singers in Baku.
In order to participate in this campaign, all the customer needs is to send short messages to his friends and family members. The higher the number of messages sent, the higher the chances are to win.
Any message sent within one week will bring users either 30 manats, 300 manats or 3,000 manats (up to $3,700). Messages sent only to short numbers are not contested in the campaign.
Scheduled till May 22, 10 drawings will be run in the course of the SMS Shans campaign. Every subscriber taking the first place in all the first eight drawings will win 3,000 manats, while the second place-winner -300 manats and the third place-winner -30 manats.
Furthermore, special prizes are envisaged in five drawings to be held within the framework of the campaign. For instance, winners of this stage will get two tickets to the concerts of such famous singers as Sibel Can, Serdar Ortac, Ajda Pekkan, Hadise and Ferhat Gocher.
Any Azercell phone number is eligible to participate in the drawing in accordance with the number of messages sent over a fixed period of time.
Drawings in the lottery are realized on the basis of special software, which is used to randomly select the winning numbers.
The first drawing of the SMS Shans campaign took place on March 5. Nine more drawings will be held till May 22.
