New Chairman of the Board appointed at AHK Azerbaijan
The German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan) has announced that Mr. Falko Heidrich has been elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors in the Board Meeting dated January 20, 2017.
Heidrich will succeed Dr. Samir Akhundov, a Chief Executive Officer of Siemens AG in Azerbaijan.
Heidrich’s background is mainly in Trade Finance Projects for Corporate Clients, particularly in Azerbaijan and other CIS countries. From 1993 to 2009, Mr. Heidrich served in multiple positions in Dresdner Bank. He has a five years’ of experience in CRM Financial Institutions in CIS countries. Mr. Heidrich took a position of Head of the Tashkent and Almaty offices of Dresdner Bank in 2003 and 2005 respectively.
Prior to his tenure in PWT Wasser- und Abwassertechnik GmbH, one of the leading main contractors in the field of design, construction and operation of treatment plants for drinking water, waste water and process water, Mr. Heidrich served as a Regional Manager of the Berlin based Textima GmbH in Baku office for two years. Since March 2015, Falko Heidrich has been the Head of the branch office Baku of PWT Wasser- und Abwassertechnik GmbH, which is one of the most active Members of AHK Azerbaijan since 2007.
Furthermore, the Board of the AHK Azerbaijan appointed Mr. Farid Isayev, the Head of Law Practice of KPMG Azerbaijan Ltd., the Deputy Chairman of the Board and Dr. Malik Kerimov, the Founder and Director of the German-Azerbaijani Medical Center Sahhat Clinic Ltd., the Treasurer of the Chamber.
The new Board consists of Mr. Falko Heidrich - PWT Wasser- und Abwassertechnik GmbH (Chairman), Farid Isayev - KPMG Azerbaijan Ltd. (Deputy Chairman), Dr. Malik Kerimov - Sahhat Clinic Ltd. (Treasurer), Mr. Samir Guliyev - Knauf Marketing Baku GmbH, Mr. Aliyar Hashimli - Weidmüller Interface GmbH & Co.KG, Dr. Michael Hilmer - Uniper Global Commodities SE, and Mr. Tobias Baumann - the Executive Board member of AHK Azerbaijan.
The term of the Board lasts for three years.
