CBA announces manat rate for December 13

The official exchange rate of Azerbaijan’s national currency, the manat, against the US dollar was set at 1.7430 for December 13, said the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
Thus, manat’s rate against the US dollar remained unchanged compared to the rate on December 12.
Demand at a deposit auction held by the CBA by 2.6 times exceeded supply on December 12. The CBA received 50 million manats from banks for deposit, while the demand was 130 million manats.
The Central Bank began to hold deposit auctions in mid-June 2016.
Thirty two banks, including two state-owned ones, operate in Azerbaijan.
