Japanese gymnasts: National Gymnastics Arena in Baku perfect
The Japanese team would like to win medals at the FIG World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics in Baku, Daisuke Nakata, head coach of the Japanese team in trampoline gymnastics, told Trend on March 3.
He said that the entire Japanese delegation is very pleased to be in Baku.
"We liked the National Gymnastics Arena very much,” he said. “We are very pleased with all conditions created here. Of course, Japanese gymnasts are not the favorites, but we expect get high positions."
Nakata said that this is his first visit to Baku.
"But we have heard much about Baku and the National Gymnastics Arena from our colleagues, who arrived in Azerbaijan for the FIG World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics two weeks ago,” he said. “All the reviews were positive.”
“Our colleagues said that Azerbaijan’s National Gymnastics Arena is perfect,” he said. “I see it now,” he said. We have not walked the city yet, but our first impression of Baku - is strong wind."
The FIG World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics will be held at the National Gymnastics Arena March 5-6.
Overall, 77 gymnasts (46 men and 31 women), representing 17 countries, will participate in the tournament.
