Famous Ukrainian athlete joins Azerbaijani team

Famous Ukrainian athlete Inna Osipenko has announced her decision to compete under Azerbaijani flag from now on, Korrespondent.net wrote.
Osipenko was the best athlete of Ukraine in 2010, champion of Olympic Games in Beijing, bronze medalist of Athens Olympics and World Champion in Poland. She was awarded the Order "For Merit" of the third degree.
Sportswoman linked her quitting the Ukrainian rowing team to financial problems. "I had offers not only from Azerbaijan, but from Slovakia and Russia, too. I love Ukraine, but the current situation made me change my life. I very much want to vie for medal in Rio-2016. There I will compete for Azerbaijan," Osipenko said.
