Mammadyarov vs. Rajabov, Carlsen vs. Nakamura in Shamkir tournament

Azerbaijan's Shahriyar Mammadyarov is playing against his compatriot Teymur Rajabov as the second tour started at the Shamkir Chess 2014 tournament commemorating Azerbaijani grandmaster Vugar Gashimov.
Also, Norwegian Magnus Carlsen is competing against American Hikaru Nakamura and Italian Fabiano Caruana's opponent is Russian Sergey Karjakin in the A tournament of the Shamkir Chess 2014 tournament.
In the B tournament the following pairings are playing: Vasif Durarbeyli (Azerbaijan) - Etienne Bacrot (France), Gadir Huseynov (Azerbaijan) - Wang Hao (China), Nijat Abasov (Azerbaijan) - Eltaj Safarli (Azerbaijan), Rauf Mammadov (Azerbaijan) - Alexander Motylev (Russia) and Radoslaw Wojtaszek (Poland) - Paul Elyanov (Ukraine).
Money prize of the A tournament, sponsored by "Synergy Group" is 100,000 euros, while the prize fund for the B tournament will be 30,000 euros.
The Shamkir Chess 2014 tournament, dedicated to Vugar Gashimov, the world-famous Azerbaijani grandmaster who passed away as a result of serious disease this january, opened at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Shamkir on April 19.
