Azerbaijan's judokas win 6 medals in Abu-Dhabi

Azerbaijan's judokas have won three medals during the 5th World Judo Veterans Championships 2013 in Abu-Dhabi.
The event, which was held on November 24-26, brought together both male and female athletes from over 60 countries.
During the first day of the championship, Azerbaijan's athlete Zulfiya Huseynova won a silver award, while on the second day Azerbaijan scored two gold medals, won by Elkhan Rajabli and Rasul Salimov.
Moreover, Azerbaijani judokas won one silver and two bronze medals in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which took place on November 22-23 and brought together athletes from 40 countries.
Azerbaijan's Nijat Shikhalizade gained silver medal defeating Andraz Jereb from Slovenia and Sugoi Uriarte from Spain, while another Azerbaijani athlete Orkhan Safarov became the owner of bronze medal.
Another bronze medal was scored by Ramin Gurbanov, who defeated judokas from Lebanon and Germany.
Azerbaijan was ranked 9th in the medal standings of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Russian athletes, who won four gold, two silver and seven bronze medals ranked first, while Germany is in the second place and France is the third.
