Azerbaijan's capital Baku, which is hosting Flyboard World Cup 2014, promises a novel extreme show on September 20, this evening, with riders manouvering in the middle of giant holograms, fire, pyrotechnics, lasers and lights.

This one-of-a-kind spectacular show will take the team of flyboarders to nine meters height over the water, and they will be floating in the air or sailing through the waves and even under water like dolphins.

The unseen and unique water show with tricks, which were previously seen only in blockbusters, is becoming real and will amaze the audience at Sea Breeze Residences and Hotel on the Caspian seashore.

The flyboard championship is a combination of unreal tricks, extreme actions and adrenalin. The fantastic moves between the air and water are accompanied with an excellent laser show.

The competition is being held on calm sea waters sheltered from the wind.

The flyboard was invented not only for professionals, but for everyone who likes extreme moves and sports. Only two minutes to an hour are needed to learn to ride a flyboard.

Thus, any rider who has had enough practice and presents different figures in the air and water can participate in the championship.

The Baku tournament is expected to bring together some 100 participants from around the world.

The flyboard device, which was invented by watercraft rider Franky Zapata in 2011, is a board which is connected with a long hose to the watercraft. The rider standing on the board can fly up nine meters in the air or dive into the water.

The device was first presented during the Jet Ski World Championship 2012 in China, and the first magnificent flyboard championship was held the same year in Doha, Qatar, which brought huge excitement to the audience.

This year, the championship, which is due in November, will also be held in Doha, with more than 60 riders participating.
