Azerbaijani karate fighter reaches EKF Senior Championships final

Azerbaijan’s "black brilliant" Rafael Agayev has advanced to the final of the 54th EKF Senior Championships held in Guadalajara, Spain.
The tournament features a total of 508 karate fighters from 51 countries.
On the way to the final, national karate fighter defeated his rivals from Bosnia and Herzegovina (3: 0), Albania (3: 1), Kosovo (3: 0) and Ukraine (5: 1), Trend reported.
He will face Italy’s Luigi Busa in the 75kg gold medal bout.
The final will be held on March 30.
Rafael Agayev, nicknamed "Black brilliant of the karate world", has managed to achieve all of the highest sporting victories in karate.
For outstanding sports achievements, he repeatedly has received awards from the leadership of the National Olympic Committee, the Youth and Sport Ministry of Azerbaijan Republic.
He is a five-times World Champion, and eleven-times European Champion in his discipline.
The 34-year-old karate fighter won a gold medal at the 53rd EKF Senior Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia.
