Azeri football team to face Spain in June
Azerbaijan`s football team will play a friendly
match with European Cup champion Spain in Baku on June 9, according
to the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan
(AFFA).
Spain has taken the lead with 18 points in Group 5 of the 2010 World Cup qualifying after beating six opponents.
Azerbaijan, which is vying in Group 4, has gained only one point in four matches after tying a game with Liechtenstein. The Azerbaijani team ranks fifth, while Liechtenstein trails in the group.
