Two Azerbaijani boxers reached the semi-final at 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships in Hamburg.
Azerbaijan`s Kamran Shahsuvarli defeated Jorge Vivas of Colombia 3-2 in the men`s 75kg weight category.
He will face Kazakh Abilkhan Amankul on August 31.
Another Azerbaijani boxer Magomedrasul Majidov overcame over Jamili-Dini-Abudu-Moindze (3:2), Report. az informs.
His next rival will be Australia’s Joseph Goodall. The fight will take place on September 1.
A total of 243 boxers from 75 countries are contesting medals at the world championships.
