FC Qarabag reaches UEFA Champions League play-off [PHOTO]
Azerbaijan’s FC Qarabag have advanced into the UEFA Champions League play-off stage after defeating Moldovan Sheriff 2-1 in Tiraspol.
Qarabag`s Ndlovu scored his third goal of the qualifying round when he put his team ahead in the 48th minute. Late Míchel header in the 86th minute secured a win for Qarabag. Badibanga`s goal from a penalty spot in the 94th minute was a consolation for Sheriff.
The two clubs drew 0-0 in Baku last week.
Qarabag have had a draw, two wins, and a two losses in their last five matches. They lost away friendlies to Dinamo Moscow (1-0) and Brondby (5-1) before seeing off Samtredia in the second qualifying round 5-0 at home and 0-1 away to win 6-0 on aggregate.
