Azerbaijani weightlifter Afgan Bayramov says he is ready for the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games to be held in Baku.
“Every summit needs to be conquered. For me, sport is a philosophy. I understand this philosophy and I try for my flag to always fly high,” the athlete said, according to the Azerbaijan Islamic Solidarity Games Operations Committee.
Bayramov, who represented Azerbaijan in the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics, won silver at the 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games held in the Indonesian city of Palembang in 2013.
The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games will be held on May 12-22 in Baku.
About 6,000 athletes from 57 countries will compete in the Games.
