AFFA: Baku can host several matches before EURO 2020

Baku, a new venue of major international sporting events, has already been able to surprise the world with its organizational skills.
The quarterfinals and three group games of the UEFA EURO 2020 will be another great event, for which the country is already preparing.
AFFA’s President Rovnag Abdullayev expressed his opinion
regarding the Baku logo of EURO 2020, azerisport reported.
“Baku’s application for EURO 2020 was second after London. We was
ranked the second for score and quality. Before Euro 2020 we can
hold some matches in Baku. In recent years, we have hosted a lot of
UEFA tournaments,” he said.
Azerbaijan's capital will be one of the 13 host cities of the European Football Championship in 2020, and along with Munich, Rome and Saint Petersburg will host quarterfinals and three group games each.
London will host semi-finals and final games of the EURO.
Meanwhile, UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin arrived in Baku to attend a ceremony to unveil a logo of the 2020 UEFA European Championship .
There has been held a briefing with the participation of Ceferin and Abdullayev in front of Maiden Tower in Baku on September 30.
Before Aleksander Ceferin, Rovnag Abdullayev, UEFA General Secretary Theodor Theodoridis and AFFA General Secretary Elkhan Mammadov took memorial photos with the model of European Championship Cup.
