Four Azerbaijani athletes to be in action on day 9 of Rio Paralympics
Four Azerbaijani athletes will be in action as the Paralympic Games in Rio enter day 9, Azertac reported.
Azerbaijani swimmers Dmitry and Roman Salei will contest medals in the men's 100m Freestyle.
Elmir Jabrayilov will compete in the athletics men's 100m, while Rufat Rafiyev in the athletics men's shot put.
In the Summer Paralympics, which will last until September 18, Azerbaijan is represented by 24 athletes in judo, athletics, powerlifting, swimming, shooting and archery.
There are six women among the Azerbaijani Paralympians.
Azerbaijani Paralympians have 41 licenses, which is more compared to London 2012 Paralympics.
Azerbaijani Paralympians have won 161 medals (64 gold, 57 silver and 40 bronze) over the last four years.
