Six Azerbaijani athletes to compete on day 7 of Rio Paralympics
Six Azerbaijani athletes will be in action as the Rio Paralympic Games enter day 7, Azertac reported.
Azerbaijan now has eight Paralympic medals, including a gold.
In the Summer Paralympics, which will last until September 18, Azerbaijan is represented by 24 athletes in judo, athletics, powerlifting, swimming, shooting and archery.
There are six women among the Azerbaijani Paralympians.
Azerbaijani Paralympians have 41 licenses, which is more compared to London 2012 Paralympics.
Azerbaijani Paralympians have won 161 medals (64 gold, 57 silver and 40 bronze) over the last four years.
