Azerbaijani gymnast advances to finals at Rio 2016
Azerbaijani rhythmic gymnast Marina Durunda has advanced to the finals of competition in rhythmic gymnastics (individual all-around) at the Rio 2016.
Durunda scored 17.466 points in the exercises with a hoop, 17,466 - in the exercises with a ball, 17.683 - in the exercises with clubs, and 17.733 - in the exercises with a ribbon.
The final will be held on Saturday.
Fifty-six athletes are representing Azerbaijan at the 2016 Summer Olympics, underway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The games, which kicked off on Aug. 5, will end on Aug. 21, and will be followed by the 15th Summer Paralympic Games on Sept. 7-18.
