Uzbek plant ups cement output
Uzbekistan’s Ahangarancement JSC increased cement production by 4.1 percent in 2015, up to 1.771 million tons compared to 2014, according to the company’s main shareholder - the Eurocement Group.
Clinker production by the company grew by 3.4 percent - up to 1.282 million tons in 2015.
In total, last year, the company supplied 1.772 million tons of cement (three percent increase) to customers.
Ahangarancement JSC is the second largest cement producer in Uzbekistan.
In August 2006, Russian Eurocement Group holding purchased some 75.5 percent of shares in Ahangarancement JSC. At present, the share of Eurocement Group in the company’s authorized capital is 83.92 percent.
In 2014, Ahangarancement increased cement production by five percent, compared to 2013 – up to 1.7 million tons, and clinker production - by 6.2 percent, up to 1.24 million tons.
