Kazakh-Chinese ties in focus

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev received Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Zhang Hanhuey on April 15.
The meeting discussed directions of future development of the Kazakh-Chinese relations and preparations for the upcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Kazakhstan.
The Kazakh president stressed a high level of friendly relations established between the two countries. He also spoke about the successful visit of the Chinese State Council’s Premier, Li Keqiang to Kazakhstan last year.
The president said that there are some similar goals between two countries. For instance, the Western Europe-Western China transport corridor.
The Chinese ambassador, in turn, noted that the Kazakh-Chinese relations were becoming even stronger, having presently reached their historical height.
Hanhuey, in turn, noted that China and Kazakhstan are not just good neighbors but also strategic partners. “We support all the efforts of Kazakhstan aimed at preserving stability within the country and in the region,” he said.
