Georgia to up all pensions in 2015
The pensions will not increase in accordance with the social categories in Georgia in 2015.
But the pensions of all categories will increase by 10 lari ($ 1 = 1.76 lari) from Sept. 1, Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri said following the meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and the parliamentary majority.
He briefed the deputies with the state budget parameters for 2015.
"Today, we have talked about many issues,” Khaduri said. “In particular, Garibashvili informed members of the parliamentary majority that the pensions will not increase in accordance with the social categories in 2015. But the pensions of all categories will increase by 10 lari from September 1. However, the process of increasing the pensions of all categories will continue in 2016."
"The economic growth affected the budget," Khaduri said.
The draft state budget for 2015 will be considered this week.
