Georgia opens new border checkpoint
Georgian Interior Minister Alexander Chikaidze and Border Police Head Zurab Gamzerdashvili attended the opening of a new border sector on the Georgian-Azerbaijani border.
Chikaidze and Gamzerdashvili opened a new building of the Land Border Protection Department of Vahtangisi border police, the Interior Ministry told Trend October 2
The new building corresponds to the European standards and has modern equipment.
Four more new sectors will appear on the Georgian-Azerbaijani border by late 2014.
Georgia is now actively modernizing the border sectors on the border with Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
