Iran’s cement output hits 11.2 mln tons
Iran's Industry, Mine, and Trade Ministry reported that the
country produced 11.2 million tons of cement in the first two
months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 - May
20).
Nearly 80 percent of the mentioned figure (some 8.739 million tons)
was supplied to the domestic market in the mentioned month, IRNA
News Agency reported.
Some 12.71 million tons of clinker was also produced in Iran
during the mentioned period.
Iran's cement output amounted to 69.68 million tons in the
twelve-month period which ended on March 20.
Some 71.904 million tons of clinker was also produced in the
mentioned period.
Iran exported 18.812 million tons of cement and clinker in the
mentioned 12-month period, which shows 37.8 percent increase
compared to its preceding year.
Cement accounted for 14.348 million tons of the mentioned
amount.
Some 55.622 million tons of cement was also consumed domestically in the mentioned period.
