The European Union allocated funds in the amount of 4.6 million euros to Georgia to modernize the checkpoint on the border with Armenia.
The project will introduce European standards of integrated border management (IBM) at the Bagratashen-Sadakhlo border crossing point on the Armenia-Georgia border and facilitate trade, transit and enhanced movement of people across the border, the press service of the Georgian government reported.
There are three checkpoints on the Armenian-Georgian border.
