Uzbekistan ups tariffs for utilities
The electricity tariffs increased by 9.5 percent, natural gas for the population and enterprises - by 8.9 percent, central heating and hot water - 11.7 percent, 10.5 percent - cold water in Uzbekistan from April 1.
Earlier, the tariffs for these kinds of utilities increased in Uzbekistan in October 2013. Then the tariffs for electricity consumption increased by 7.4 percent, natural gas - by 8.5 percent, central heating, hot water supply - by 6.4 percent, cold water supply - by 3.5 percent.
It was previously reported that electricity consumption rose in price by 14.4 percent , gas - by 22.5 percent, the central heating and hot water - by 19.9 percent, cold water - 17 percent in Uzbekistan in 2013.
The official exchange rate is 2.262.93 soums/$ 1 on April 1.
