The U.S. is looking forward to strengthening the close partnership with Georgia.
Secretary of State John Kerry made the remark in his letter to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, the prime minister's press service reported.
"I am thankful that we had opportunity to discuss the issues of mutual interest and I hope for strengthening the partnership between our countries in coming months and years," Kerry's letter reads.
The U.S.-Georgia Strategic Partnership Commission held a plenary session in Washington in February. Addressing the event, Kerry said the Georgian government is future-oriented and this government will lead Georgia in the right direction.
