Georgia’s EU integration discussed in U.S.

Georgia's prospects to join NATO and EU were the key topic of discussions at the meeting of Georgian Deputy Defence Minister Mikheil Darchiashvili and U.S. congressmen Ted Deutch and Congressman John Shimkus.
"The sides focused on the ongoing reforms in defense sphere of Georgia, achieved progress in this respect and Georgia's contribution to NATO-led ISAF mission," the Georgian Defense Ministry said on December 12.
The U.S. congressmen expressed support to Georgian territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well Georgia's aspiration to NATO membership.
They thanked the Georgian side for the contribution to ISAF mission and future cooperation in post-ISAF period. The U.S. legislators once more expressed readiness to support Georgia in various directions.
