Georgian Railway is operating smoothly, spokesman for the company Dachi Tsaguria told media on November 14. He made the remark on the background of the strike of rail workers.
Around 8,000 railway workers went on strike on November 14 calling for overtime pay, a fair bonus system and bonuses for length of service and qualifications.

"The railway is operating without interruption," Tsaguria said. "Nothing is threatening passenger and freight transportation. We urge strikers to negotiate and engage in a constructive dialogue."
