The price of wheat imported Georgia increased, Head of the Agrokom Company Koki Osipov told media, noting that the cost of one ton of imported wheat increased by $26 up to $305 in Poti.

Osipov said that Georgia obtains around 90 percent of its grain from Russia where the real wheat harvest was much lower than expected.

"The rise in the grain price will affect the flour price," Osipov said. "Presumably, the price on a bag of flour will be increased by two lari and its price will stand at 40 lari."
