Georgian Parliament stops functioning for a month
The Georgian parliament will hold its last meeting on October 4 and will stop working for a month.
The decision was taken after consultations between Parliamentary Speaker David Usupashvili and members of the parliamentary majority.
Usupashvili said that the parliament is entitled to stop working during the presidential elections, although a break should not last longer than one month.
After the break is announced, MPs will have the opportunity to actively engage in the election campaign of the presidential candidates in Georgia.
The presidential elections in Georgia will be held on October 27.
