Iran’s budget only half realized

Iranian president Hassan Rouhani said that predicted incomes of the Iran's current year's budget have been realized by 52.8 per cent during the last Iranian calendar month (July 23- August 22), IRNA news agency reported.

He said that during the first months of the current solar year, started on March 21, the budget incomes have been realised by 43 per cent.

Rouhani recalled that the country is facing a massive budget deficit, adding the current year's budget, proposed by the previous administration is unrealistic.

Rouhani`s administration submitted a two-star which is a very urgent bill going straight to parliament and skipping committees, current year budget bill revision to Parliament two days ago, but parliament dismissed any vote on the urgency of the current year budget bill's revision.

Parliament's Planning and Budget Committee opposed the urgency of the bill revision and didn't even agree on the one-star emergency, so the bill will be discussed after undergoing a normal procedure.
