Iran’s first spokeswoman took office
A ceremony held over Iran's first spokeswoman Marzieh Afham's taking office at the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who attended the ceremony, thanked the previous spokesman Abbas Araghchi for his work and wished good luck to Ahfam.
For the first time in the history of the Islamic Republic a woman was appointed as the press secretary of the Foreign Ministry.
Afham has more than 30 years of work experience in the Foreign
Ministry.
