An international conference opens in Tbilisi on August 29 organized by Institute for the Study of Earth of Ilia Chavchavadze State University.
The International Scientific and Practical Conference ""Active Tectonics of the Caucasus, magnetism - and the natural hazards and resources" that will run until September 3 will be led by the National Taiwan University, Department of Geological Sciences and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation
The event is aimed at the presentation of the latest research of active tectonics of the region and their analysis, discussion of methods for studying the active tectonics and their results, the analysis on the contemporary active tectonics of seismic and other geological threats, introduction to examples of new methods of research and prevention.
