Kyrgyzstan to draft import substitution program
Kyrgyz Prime Minister Jantoro Satybaldiyev ordered to work out an import substitution program during the discussion of the republic's budget project for 2014, the government reported on August 27.
"The design and implementation of the import substitution program which will give opportunity to develop national production is particularly important within the taken course for diversification of the country's economy," the order reads.
The Energy and Industry Ministry was ordered to develop the program.
The document should be submitted to the government for consideration in the second half of autumn.
"It should be a concrete program with clear tasks and real for implementation," Satybaldiyev said.
